This year’s Japanese Grand Prix has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic
The Japanese government isn’t taking any more chances after a recent spike in COVID-19 cases.
Formula One organizers officially announced that the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix scheduled for October 10 in Suzuka has been cancelled.
“The decision has been taken by the Japanese government to cancel the race this season due to ongoing complexities of the pandemic in the country,” said F1 in a statement.
“Formula 1 is now working on the details of the revised calendar and will announce the final details in the coming weeks.”
