The 2022 World Juniors has been rescheduled for August

Hockey fans rejoice! It looks like we are going to see this year’s edition of the World Juniors being played after all.

As confirmed by IIHF president Luc Tardif, the 2022 World Juniors (which was initially sopposed to take place from December 26, 2021-January 5, 2022) will now take place in mid-August. It is expected to be hosted in Alberta once again.

According to reports, it will be a complete tournament restart. That means the few games that were played in late December will not count towards the new August edition of the tournament.

Teams will be allowed to construct entirely different rosters than they had back in December.
