Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho plans to leave club at end of season
A lack of playing time has taken its toll on one of the Premier League’s most legendary footballers.
Manchester City midfielder and captain Fernandinho admitted to media that he is leaning towards leaving the club he has called home for close to a decade in order to return home to play in his native Brazil.
“I want to play…I will go back to Brazil, for sure,” said Fernandinho.
The 36-year old, who has scored 25 goals and made 373 combined appearances for Man City since the start of the 2013/14 campaign, hasn’t started a match since the club’s 0-0 draw to Sporting Portugal in Champions League action on March 9th.
