Red Sox place David Price on 10-day injured list with elbow injury
The Boston Red Sox are going to have to get by without David Price.
The team announced that they have placed the veteran lefty on the 10-day injured list due to tendinitis in his throwing elbow.
The 33-year old, who last pitched in a 6-4 loss to the Chicago White Sox on May 2. He has posted a 1-2 record with a 3.75 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 42 strikeouts in six starts and 36 innings pitched so far this season.
As a result of the injury, the Red Sox will call up RHP Ryan Weber from Triple-A Pawtucket to max out their 40-man roster.
