The Golden State Warriors are going to have to get by without their MVP for quite some team.

The team announced that superstar guard Steph Curry will be out indefinitely after an MRI revealed he has a a sprained ligament in his left foot.

Curry sustained the injury when Marcus Smart connected with his leg while jumping for a loose ball during the Warriors’ 110-88 loss to the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night.

Golden State head coach Steve Kerr was not happy with Smart following the game, attacking him for his recklessness during the incident.

“I thought it was a dangerous play,” said Kerr.

“I thought Marcus dove into Steph, and that’s what I was upset about. A lot of respect for Marcus. He’s a hell of a player, a gamer, a competitor. I coached him in the World Cup a few summers ago. We talked after the game and we’re good. But I thought it was a dangerous play.”

The 33-year old is having a bit of a down year for his standards, averaging 25.5 points, 6.3 assists and 5.2 rebounds in 64 games this season.
