Raptors reportedly have no intention of trading Kyle Lowry
The reeling Toronto Raptors now find themselves out of a playoff spot, and are seen around the league as a potential seller at the trade deadline. One of their biggest assets is All-Star guard Kyle Lowry.
You would think that the Raptors would be wise to trade Lowry now rather than potentially losing him for nothing as a free agent in the offseason (like what happened with Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green, Serge Ibaka, Marc Gasol, etc), but that appears to not be the case.
According to TSN’s Josh Lewenberg, the team has no desire to trade the 34-year old, and feel comfortable at the prospect of playing out the season with him at the helm and taking their chances with him in free agency.
Lowry is in his 9th season with the franchise, is averaging 17.8 points, 7.5 assists, 5.6 rebounds, 1.2 steals and a 38.6% three point percentage in 33 games this season.
