With trades now finally allowed to happen in the NBA, it appears the Los Angeles Lakers are the first team to jump on the opportunity.
According to reports, they have agreed to trade veteran Danny Green and the 28th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for highly sought-after combo guard Dennis Schroder.
Schroder, who is a free agent after this upcoming season, averaged
18.9 points, 4 assists, and 3.6 rebounds in 65 games with the Thunder in 2019/2020.
The piece going the other way, Danny Green, became a whipping boy during the postseason, but his solid defense at the shooting guard position and overall defensive versatility played an important role in securing the Lakers their first NBA title since 2010 this past season.
The trade will be officially announced at the NBA Draft.
