Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton becomes seventh fastest player in MLB history to reach 350 homers
New York Yankees star Giancarlo Stanton has accomplished quite the feat on Wednesday night.
The 32-year old crushed a 417-foot homer in the bottom of the first inning of their 5-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles to reach the 350 career home run mark.
It took him only 1,341 games to reach that milestone, which makes him the seventh fastest player in league history to accomplish that feat.
“When I began this journey, I didn’t know really what to expect or where I’d be or how long I’d be around. So, it’s cool for me.” said Stanton.
Albert Pujols, Harmon Killebrew, Juan Gonzalez and Mark McGwire, and former Yankees legends Babe Ruth and Alex Rodgiruez are the only players to reach it faster.
