The team announced that they have signed starting pitcher Jose Berrios to a seven-year, $131 million contract extension that goes into effect following the 2022 MLB season.

The two-time All-Star has registered a 60-47 record, 4.04 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 857 strikeouts over a span of six seasons and 851.2 innings pitched in the MLB career.
