Ken Hitchcock will not be back as Oilers’ head coach in 2019/2020

The Edmonton Oilers are continuing to make some major changes.

Just hours after introducing Ken Holland as their new GM, the team confirmed that Ken Hitchcock will not be back as head coach next season.

The 67-year old, who was hired following the dismissal of Todd McLellan on November 20, 2018, led the Oilers to a 26-28-8 record in his 62 games as bench boss this past season.

No word yet on who the replacement will be.
