Tomas Tatar out for rest of season with upper body injury
Another nail has been put into the coffin of the Montreal Canadiens’ lost season.
The team announced that veteran forward Tomas Tatar will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2019/2020 NHL season due to an undisclosed upper body injury.
The 29-year old, who is slated to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, hasn’t appeared in a game since the team’s 6-2 win over the New York Islanders on March 3.
He was in the midst of the best statistical season of his career, posting 22 goals, and a career-high in assists (39) and points (61) through 68 games.
