Sidney Crosby undergoes arthroscopic wrist surgery; timeline for recovery 3-4 weeks
The Pittsburgh Penguins announced on Tuesday that captain Sidney Crosby underwent successful arthroscopic wrist surgery performed by Dr. Robert Hotchkiss of Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. He is expected to fully recover in three-to-four weeks.
The procedure comes less than a month after his team was eliminated by the Montreal Canadiens in the NHL’s qualifying round.
The 33-year-old posted 16 goals and 31 assists in 41 games this past season.
