Sharks acquire goalie Devan Dubnyk, forward Ryan Donato from Wild
The San Jose Sharks have finally addressed some holes on their roster.
The team announced that they have acquired veteran goalie Devan Dubnyk, and winger Ryan Donato from the Minnesota Wild in separate deals.
In return, they gave the Wild a 2021 third-round draft pick (via Pittsburgh Penguins), and a seventh-round pick in the 2022 draft.
The Wild will also retain 50% of Dubnyk’s remaining salary.
“We need to go in a different direction…Devan and I had some very good, open conversations in the last little while. In the end, I just think this is best for the Minnesota Wild.” said Wild GM Bill Guerin about the trade.
