Nikolaj Ehlers will miss multiple games after sustaining knee injury
Not ideal news for the Winnipeg jets, but it could’ve been a lot worse.
The team announced that forward Nikolaj Ehlers will likely be sidelined for more than one game after suffering a knee injury from an on-ice collision with Dmitry Orlov during their 4-2 overtime loss to the Washington Capitals on Tuesday night.
Jets head coach David Lowry was particularly displeased with no penalty being called on the play.
“I’m disappointed…When you lose a player, you’re disappointed. We have the luxury of replay. It’s a fast game. The four of them didn’t see it the same way we saw it.”
Ehlers has posted 13 goals and 12 assists in 34 games this season.
