Logan Couture out week-to-week with ankle injury

The San Jose Sharks are going to have to get by without their captain for a little while.

The team announced that All-Star forward Logan Couture will be sidelined for a minimum for six weeks after fracturing his left ankle during Tuesday 3-2 loss to the St.Louis Blues.

The injury occurred when he collided with defenceman Vince Dunn and fell awkwardly into the boards midway through the second period. He had to be helped off the ice by his teammates and did not return for the remainder of the game.

The 30-year old has posted 14 goals and 22 assists in 45 games this season.
