Leaf ink Justin Holl to three-year extension
The Toronto Maple Leafs are rewarding defenceman Justin Holl in the midst of his breakout season.
The team confirmed Tuesday that they have signed the veteran defenceman to a three-year, $6 million contract extension.
The 27-year old, who was scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent in the offseason, is getting consistent playing time for the first time in his career, and has not taken that opportunity for granted.
So far in 2019/2020, he has posted one goal, 10 assists and a plus-11 rating in 32 games, and has become a reliable part of the bud’s d-core.
