Klingberg out at least two weeks after taking puck to neck
The Dallas Stars are going to be without a key part of their defensive core for a little while.
The team confirmed that John Klingberg will be sidelined for a minimum of two weeks after taking a Nikita Zadorov one-timer to the neck during the second period of their 4-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday.
The 27-year old was slow to get up, and was eventually helped by the Stars training staff to the locker room. He did not return for the remainder of the game.
Klingberg joins a growing list of Stars defenceman out with an injury that includes Andrej Sekera and Roman Polak.
He has posted one goal, three assists and a minus-10 rating in 17 games this season.
