Jake Muzzin out four weeks after suffering broken hand

The team has confirmed that defenceman Jake Muzzin will be sidelined for about a month after suffering a broken hand when he blocked a
blocked a Victor Hedman shot during their 4-3 road win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night.
The news comes two days after he inked a four-year contract extension with the team worth an average annual value of $5.625 million. He joins Morgan Rielly and Cody Ceci as prominent Leafs defenceman out with an injury.
The 31-year old has compiled six goals, 17 assists and a plus-12 rating to go along with 108 hits and 110 blocked shots in 52 games this season.
The Leafs have called up recently acquired defenceman Calle Rosen from the Marlies to take Muzzin’s place in the lineup.
