Golden Knights looking to move Max Pacioretty?
The Vegas Golden Knights feel like they are close to becoming a Stanley Cup team, and are looking at all their options on the trade market to improve the team. That might include trading one of their biggest names.
According to reports, the Vegas Golden Knights have looked into moving star forward Max Pacioretty, and included him in possible trade talks over the past few weeks. So far nothing has materialized.
The 32-year old, who was initially acquired in a preseason trade with the Montreal Canadiens back in September 2018, is entering the second season of a four-year, $28 million contract extension.
The Golden Knights are also in a cap crunch after signing Alex Petriengalo to a massive seven-year deal. They are currently close to $1 million over the cap with a potential 2021 NHL season looming
Pacioretty amassed 32 goals, 34 assists and a plus-18 rating in 71 games this past season.
