Flyers ink Kevin Hayes to lucrative seven-year extension
Kevin Hayes has secured himself the bag.
Just two weeks after they acquired his negotiation rights in a trade with the Winnipeg Jets, the Philadelphia have agreed to a seven-year, $50 million contract extension with Hayes that will net him an annual average of $7.14 million.
The 27-year old, who will be entering his sixth NHL season in 2019/2020, posted 19 goals, 36 assists and a career-high 55 points in 71 combined games with the New York Rangers and Winnipeg Jets last season. He scored a career best 25 goals the previous season with the Rangers in 2017/18.
