Devils ink Pavel Zacha to three-year extension
The New Jersey Devils have locked up one of their key bottom six forwards for the next few years.
The team announced Tuesday that they have signed center Pavel Zacha three-year, $6.75 million contract extension.
“We are happy to have finalized this three-year agreement as Pavel is an important part of our team,” said Devils general manager Ray Shero.
“He has established himself as someone who can play in any situation and we are looking forward to his continued growth as a player.”
The 22-year old Czech Republic native, who was selected sixth overall in the 2015 NHL Draft, is coming off a successful season where he posted a career-high in goals (13) and tied a career-best in points (25) in 61 games.
