Captains, players and coaches announced for 2022 NHL All-Star game

The 2022 NHL All-Star is rounding into form!

The league announced that Edmonton Oilers star Connor McDavid was voted as Pacific Division captain, Toronto Maple Leafs star Auston Matthews as Atlantic Division captain, Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin as Metropolitan Division captain and Nathan McKinnon as Central Division captain.

In addition, the rest of the players from each division were announced as All-Stars, along with the head coaches that will represent each team in the four-team tournament.

Fans still have another opportunity to vote in four more players from a list of 32 candidates to determine the final spots. The voting will close on Monday January 17th.
