Blues ink goalie Jordan Binnington to a six-year contract extension
St. Louis Blues have locked up their starting goalie to a long-term deal.
The team announced that they have signed Jordan Binnington to a six-year, $36 million contract extension.
“I’m grateful and I’m very proud…We have a special team here, a great core, veteran group and young talent and all the above. I’m happy it worked out.” said Binnington.
The 27-year old came out of nowhere and took over the Blues’ starting goalie job midway through the 2018/19 NHL season, and led them to their first-ever Stanley Cup.
He has posted a 9-6-3 record, 2.69 goals-against average, and a .908 save percentage in 19 games this season.
