Blackhawks hire Kyle Davidson as their new general manager, removing interim tag
After weeks of extensive searching, the Chicago Blackhawks have decided to hire interim GM Kyle Davidson as their 10th permanent General Manager in team history.
Davidson had been the team’s interim general manager since replacing Stan Bowman on October 26, 2021, who stepped down from the position due to the fallout of the Kyle Beach sexual assault allegations.
The 33-year old has been with the Blackhawks organization since interning as a video analyst back in 2010. Over the past decade, he slowly worked his way up the Blackhawks organizational totem pole. He eventually became the assistant to general manager in 2018 and then assistant general manager to Stan Bowman in 2019.
The 33-year old is now the youngest general manager in Blackhawks history.
