Alex Ovechkin ties Brett Hull for fourth on NHL’s all-time scoring list
Alex Ovechkin has reached another milestone.
After scoring a goal in the second period of the Washington Capitals’ 5-3 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday, he tied St. Louis Blues legend Brett Hull for fourth on the NHL’s all-time goal scoring list.
“It’s nice to be in that company…It’s pretty big numbers so just move on. Obviously, it’s nice to be tied, but I still have a couple games left.” said Ovechkin.
Ovechkin has amassed 714 goals over a span of 1209 regular season games and 15 seasons with the Capitals franchise.
He needs just 26 goals to surpass Jaromir Jagr for sole possession of third, and is just 61 goals back from Gordie Howe for second all-time.
