Blues goalie Jordan Binnington named NHL Rookie of the Month

Jordan Binnington will be taking home some hardware for his incredible play as of late.

The NHL announced Friday that he is the recipient of the Rookie of the Month for February 2019.

The 25-year old, who was selected 88th overall in the 2011 NHL Draft, recorded a 10-1-0 record, 1.44 goals-against average, .945 save percentage, and four shutouts in 11 appearances.

He played a big role in the Blues’ recent 11-game win streak, and their rise up the standings from outside a playoff spot to third place in the Central Division and just five points back of first place Nashville Predators.
