The Philadelphia Eagles have acquired some much-needed depth in their backfield.
The team confirmed on Thursday that they have received running back Jordan Howard from the Chicago Bears in exchange for a conditional 2020 sixth-round pick that could improve into a fifth round pick if conditions in the trade are met.
The 24-year old Alabama native, who was selected 150th overall in the 2016 NFL Draft, has posted 778 rushes for 3370 rushing yards, 72 receptions for 568 receiving yards, and 25 combined touchdowns over a span of three seasons and 47 career regular season games.
He is slated to make $2 million in 2019, which will be the final season of his four-year contract before he is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent.
