Cooper Kupp put a cap on his incredible season in the best way possible.
The Los Angeles Rams’ star receiver was announced as the MVP for Super Bowl LVI after posting 92 receiving yards and two touchdowns (including the game winning score in the final minutes) to lead the team to a 23-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals at So-Fi Stadium on Sunday night.
It marks the first time the 28-year old has won a Super Bowl in his career.
“I just don’t feel deserving of this,” said Kupp.
“I’m just so thankful for the guys I get to be around, for the coaches, for my family. I just don’t have words, I’m just so thankful for everyone, everyone that’s been in my life and has encouraged me, has pushed me, has been there for me every step of the way.”
Kupp can add the Super Bowl MVP hardware to the long list of accolades and accomplishments this past season. He finished the season with 178 catches for 2,425 yards and 22 TD, won the NFL regular season receiving triple crown and the NFL Offensive Player of the Year Award, was named a Unanimous All-Pro, and had the most catches in a single postseason (33) in NFL history.
Congratulations!
